Full Time Ranch Help Needed
Our operation consists of registered Maine-Anjou cows. We calve primarily in February and March. We have a small herd of fall calving cows. We utilize artificial insemination and work to improve the EPDs of our herd. We plant wheat annually and put up hay in the summer.
Needed Skills:
Cattle Skills
Ability to identify sick cattle
Knowledge about the calving process and ability to know when a heifer/cow needs help
Ability to feed, check water, fill mineral, etc.
Knowledge of how to move around cattle when gathering and sorting
We primarily use the feed truck to gather cattle – not horses
Machinery Skills
Servicing/maintenance
Operating equipment
We are a family operation with Christian values, looking for long-term, trustworthy help. The individual must have farm and ranch experience and be a self-starter and hard worker. Drinking, smoking, drugs and dishonestly will not be tolerated. Housing provided.. Compensation varies with experience.
